Our Story

The seeds of Gateway Vietnam were first planted in the halls of The Hun School of Princeton, a small boarding school located in Princeton, New Jersey. It was here that founders Jason Tran and Max Adelman first met during their senior year of high school. What started off being two next door dorm neighbors grew into a friendship that would become the foundation of their future endeavor: A business venture that blends together their distinct Vietnamese and Memphis roots with their shared passion for connecting people from different backgrounds and cultures.

This vision created Gateway Vietnam, a one-stop solution that bridges the cultural, logistical and regulatory complexities of international expansion, providing clients a streamlined and effective gateway into Vietnam.

  • Jason Tran

    Co-Founder

    Jason Tran is a dynamic and forward-thinking student at New York University, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Construction Project Management. His academic pursuits are complemented by a broad range of practical experience gained through internships that bridge the worlds of technology and construction. Prior to founding Gateway Vietnam, Jason was previously a Data Analyst and Business Development Intern in the New York Business Unit of Turner Construction.

  • Max Adelman

    Founder & Owner

    Max Adelman, a student-athlete at Rhodes College in Memphis, is pursuing a degree in International Relations and Sociology, areas of study that underpin his keen insight into global dynamics and social structures. His academic journey is complemented by significant practical experience at Adelman Law Firm. In this role, Max has provided vital administrative support in legal case management and research. This experience allowed Max to have a first-hand understanding of how a successful business is run. His role has evolved over time, allowing him to advise on cases and even serving as an expert in specific legal matters. This blend of academic knowledge in international relations and hands-on experience in legal and administrative tasks equips Max with a unique perspective and expertise for his role in Gateway Vietnam.
